Then there are the weird back-handed compliments. Such as, “I don’t normally find girls with short hair attractive, but blah blah blahdidy blaaaaaah.” Or, “Not everyone can pull off short hair, but yada yada yaditty yaaaaaaaaa.” Really? Don’t people realize that compliments like these are . . . well they are not really compliments at all. In fact, next time I get one, my response is likely to be, “I don’t normally ninja kick people in the face, but . . .”
